mongodb can’t start with Invariant failure false

Solutions that worked
$ sudo rm -rf /data/db/ # Delete the db directory.
$ sudo mkdir -p /data/db # Re-create the db directory.
$ sudo chmod 0755 /data/db
$ sudo chown $USER /data/db
